Job Description
Equipment Management:
- Operates, inspects, maintains, and/or troubleshoot equipment and components
- Repair or replace defective equipment/components
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently
- Installs new equipment/components
Document Utilization: - Utilize and adhere to applicable diagrams, drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer’s manuals
Performance Improvement: - Reviews design modifications and recommend performance improvements
Liaison: - Serves as a liaison between Facility Operations, departments, manufacturers, and vendors
Reporting: - Analyze information/data and evaluate results to determine best solution to problem/issue
- Maintains record of repairs and/or maintenance
- Performs and records equipment efficiency evaluations
Communication: - Accurately and effectively communicate to Staff, patients, visitors, vendors, consultants, and contractors
Customer Service: - Effectively and efficiently respond to customer complaints/requests/needs
Budget: - Complies with departmental budget
Educations: - Stay abreast of changings in technology that affects equipment
- Educate and train “ junior” staff members as needed
Regulation: - Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Complies with appropriate Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
Job Knowledge: - High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 3 years’ experience required; associates degree or advanced training with equivalent experience preferred
- Valid State Driver’s License with approved driving history; required
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and analytical skills; required
- Good organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills; required
- Working knowledge of equipment operations, maintenance, installation (as described in Essential Functions); required
- Excellent interpersonal skills; required
