JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensures excellent customer service; performs field of expertise in a professional manner in accordance with North Ms. Plastic Surgery Clinic Med spa policy and the standards set forth by the specified field of expertise and certification.
• Adheres to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule; scheduling patients appropriately based on services requested and referring to plastic surgeon as needed.
• Welcomes clients and accompanies them to treatment areas; thanking them sincerely upon departure and providing after care instructions as needed.
• Actively promotes and customizes “at home” skin care regimens and products for patients depending on skin type and skin needs.
• Performs treatments including chemical peels, custom facials, microdermabrasion, micro needling, dermaplaning, hydro facials, jelly masks, LED light therapy, waxing and back treatments.
• Responsible for the safety, security, and well-being of each client.
• Maintains knowledge in field of expertise, promotes and sells retail products and ensures work areas are always clean and tidy, equipment is sanitized, linens are always clean, and treats clients in a kind and empathetic manner.
• Adheres to esthetics policies pertaining to chemical usage and cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance of equipment according to the Ms. State Board of Cosmetology and NMMC Infection control standards.
• Ensures success by meeting revenue goals, ensure client retention, and builds a successful client base.
• Ensures the spa rooms always meet guidelines of the Ms. State board of cosmetology and that linens are properly cared for and are replaced between sessions.
• Orders retail skin care products and all spa room supplies efficiently and cost effectively to manage cost.
• Ensures that patients complete appropriate appointment paperwork.
• Proper clinical documentation in EMR pertaining to procedures, client education, contraindications, treatments, and patient education.
• Performs proper charge capture documentation in the EMR for services; products rendered.
• Encourages My Connection activation and educates patients on portal usage.
  Education:
  
  High School         High School diploma or equivalent            Required             
   
  Licenses and Certifications:
  
  Certification in specified field of expertise certified- Esthetician      Required           
  Licensed by Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology                          Required             
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  
   • Must be able to solve minor customer complaints and direct other problems to the appropriate staff.
   • Collaborates closely with the plastic surgeon regarding contraindications; adverse reactions and/or complications; attends monthly staff meetings; reports any unresolved complaints to practice manager
   • Can schedule and cancel appointments as necessary.
